This beautiful summer wedding was a true celebration of love and the adventure it brings.
Sean and Jessica Gribbon, the happy couple, were united in this grand adventure at the Brakefield at Riverwalk; an exemplary location for anyone wishing to display elegance through simplicity and grassroots. Located in Rock Hill, just 20 minutes outside of Charlotte, the Brakefield at Riverwalk wedding venue offers tranquility with a view as it nests itself on the bank of the Catawba River.
The couple celebrated their Scottish heritage with bagpipes blaring as they joyously walked down the aisle.
The bride even managed to surprise the groom with a beautiful gift: a souvenir from every date they’d ever been on. A wine stopper from the first meal he’d ever cooked for her. Snapshots of the milestones they shared. Even a scorecard and pencil from a game of mini golf. Her gift brought tears of joy to everyone in the room and further proved that it’s the simple things in life that really mean the most.
I just can’t get enough of these two! Monica and Bryon, you guys ROCKED it! This springtime engagement session at Charlotte, NC’s beloved Southend was wonderful! The weather was perfect and the sunset reflection on the building was stellar! I cannot wait to capture their wedding this fall! Our clients are the best!!!
Ashley and Matt’s beautiful summer wedding took place at Baker Buffalo Vineyards under sunny skies and surrounded by family and friends. Ashley and Matt dated for over 10 years before saying I-do as husband and wife. Most of the details and all of the guest gifts were hand-made by Ashley.
On September 28, 2013, Luke and Ashley began their new life together as husband and wife. The ceremony was held at the Vesuvius Vineyards, in Denver, NC. With a beautiful view of the property from the bridal suite, Ashley began her day with her friends and bridesmaids surrounding her as Pink Warrior Makeup Artistry made her look amazing!
Ashley’s shoes dress and details were amazing and the wonderful old manor at the vineyard made a beautiful backdrop.
The men, hanging out in the other wing of the house, helped Luke look the part for his beautiful awaiting bride. The guys were good sports and were a very supportive group of friends.
The ladies, all close friends, were as supportive as the guys. Their heartfelt enthusiasm was palpable as they helped to make this wedding day go completely according to plan and without a hitch.
Ashley gave Luke a special surprise book from a boudoir session. It was definitely a magical moment. The look on Luke’s face, the love and adoration in his eyes, was priceless!
The afternoon ceremony could not have been more amazing! From the moment “Dad” walked his daughter down the aisle through the exchange of rings and kisses, the day could not have been more perfect!
Following the wedding, we were able to capture our lovely bride, groom and friends in some magical images…. They brought the magic, we snapped the pictures!
The reception was perfect! The guests were in awe of the first dance and parent dances. Flowers and garters were thrown as dancing overtook the night.
The send off was amazing as a shower of sparks, as illuminating as their love, lead the new Mr. and Mrs. to the “get away car”!
On May 31, 2014, Mark and Anna Davis said their I do’s at the Red Fez Club on Lake Wylie, SC. The weather was perfect, the sunset beautiful and the heart these two have for each other was truly a blessing to witness.
Ani & Tim’s springtime wedding at Carrigan Farms in Mooresville, NC (just north of Charlotte) was nothing short of amazing! Being in the midst of these two families and their amazing friends made for an unforgettable day of fun and excitement. I am so grateful to have been behind the camera for this beautiful day!

From the moment I met Heather, when we got together for her amazingly gorgeous bridal portraits in Downtown Belmont, NC, I knew this wedding was going to be one to remember! I was right! Heather, her husband Justus, their family and amazing friends made for one magical evening of love, fun and excitement!
The Vineyard in downtown Gastonia, NC, a truly remarkable wedding and event venue, held the ceremony and reception, as well as a spacious bridal suite for all those great “getting ready” shots! With a park and beautiful old architecture near by, it was easy to see why this wonderful couple chose this venue.
Thank you, Heather & Justus, for allowing Bollinger Images to be a part of your wedding! We truly enjoyed capturing the moments of your special day! 🙂
The dictionary defines elopement as:
e·lope (ĭ-lōp′) a.To run away with a lover, especially with the intention of getting married. e·lope′ment n.
I define it as a loving couple, who without any fanfare or fuss, wanted a simple ceremony with very few people to make an official declaration of their unending love for one another. Zach and Leah have been together for over 6 years and have two beautiful children. These guys are truly one of the most loving families I have ever known in my entire life! Thursday, March 20, 2014, the first day of spring, marked this new chapter in their lives. The elopement took place in Lincolnton, NC, just west of Charlotte.
I am so grateful to have been a part of this event for our industry friend. Dawn, a mother, a wife, a friend and an award winning professional photographer, has double breast cancer. This is the highlight film of the fundraiser for Dawn at the Elite Training Academy in Monroe, NC. A pistol shooting competition to help Dawn and her family with expenses and the finances that she now faces after having to close her business.
It’s engagement season, and what better way to start than with a beautiful couple who are madly in love! Sankett and Deepika were super fun to work with and great to get to know. Their engagement session was shot in Charlotte, NC at Midtown Park and also in NoDa. The day was almost as cold as it was fun as this wonderful couple warmed our hearts this winter’s afternoon! Don’t forget to share and comment! Love you guys!!! 🙂
Jessica and Brian were married October 12, 2013 at the beautiful Oak Ridge Farm Bed & Breakfast. At The Heels Weddings and Events put together an amazing day for our couple and their guests.
We began our day in the bridal suite with Pink Warrior Makeup Artistry making this already beautiful bride even more stunning with hair and makeup service. Angela really knows her stuff! The wedding dress was perfect and the Tom’s heels were so much fun! This amazing bouquet, handmade by bride, matched the decor throughout the wedding. Jessica’s sister, who was also her maid of honor, and her mother were present helping Jessica every step of the way making this morning’s activities beyond perfect!
The boutonnieres, worn by the groomsmen, matching the bouquets and other decor were pinned with care. Brian even pinned his son’s (who was also the best man) boutonnieres himself making an incredibly tender moment between father and son.
Brian and Jessica chose to do a first look before the ceremony. The approach by the bride and the look of surprise and loving adoration on the groom’s face were priceless!
The rings were beautiful and actually seemed to fit their personalities. The details, carefully chosen by the bride and planner, were amazing and everything tied together perfectly!
The afternoon was perfect for shooting so we took full advantage of the beautiful property along with some of the details to get this couple some really awesome wedding portraits!
The ceremony was so sweet! The excited Jessica and her father walked down the aisle to her nervous but adoring groom. The Bamboo Watering ceremony was perfect as three people, Jessica, Brian and his son, became one family. In Chinese culture, bamboo is a symbol of upright, strong and resilience while still being gentle, graceful and refined, just as this new family will be.
The reception was so much fun! C’leb Entertainment provided the music and from the first dance to the cake cutting, the entire evening was filled with love, laughter, and dancing into the night! Jessica’s sister gave a heart warming toast as our wonderful couple looked on. When two families, and in this case from two different cultures, become one, it is a truly magical event!
The goodbyes were met with tears and cheers as our brand new Mr. and Mrs. smiled through a bubble filled exit into their new lives together as husband and wife!
Heather and Mike were married October 19, 2013 at Rockin’ K Ranch, near Charlotte, NC. This was a no holds barred P-A-R-T-Y! 🙂 All of the family and guests joined this former Marine and his beautiful nurse to put the rockin’ in the Rockin’ K Ranch! The ceremony was short (10 minutes), sweet, and to the point! The rustic, fall themed decorations matched the blue jeans and the cowboy boots making this a beautifully casual event! I was so happy to be a part of this special day!
On September 7, I was given the opportunity to film the wedding of Kelsey & Matthew. Kelsey, along with her bridesmaids got ready at her parent’s house in South Charlotte, while Matthew was getting ready with the guys at a nearby hotel. Their breathtaking wedding and reception were held at the Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, SC. It was a great day for these two and their families as the vows and rings were exchanged and love and laughter filled the air with dancing into the night…
Sarah and Giovanni’s uptown Charlotte wedding was help on June 1, 2013. The ceremony was held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the reception was held at Roof With a View. Whiskey Warehouse served as a way stop between the early ceremony and the reception. Sarah planned and designed her entire wedding and the entire day went without a hitch, well, except the hitching that matters! 🙂 The weather on this beautiful spring day could not have been better as family and friends made this one amazing wedding to film!
On October 05, 2013 Ryan and Chantele Hale began their new life together as husband and wife. The ceremony was held at the Coker Ranch, near Lancaster, SC. With a beautiful view of the property from the bridal suite, Chantele began her day with her mother and friends surrounding her as Pink Warrior Makeup Artistry did her makeup and her friend from work (both hairdressers) made her hair look amazing!
The men, camped out in the rustic “bunk house”, helped Ryan look the part for his awaiting bride.
Ryan and Chantele exchanged a “first look” at the base of the stairs in the main house. It was definitely a magical moment. The look on Ryan’s face, the love and adoration in his eyes, was priceless!
The afternoon ceremony by the lake could not have been more amazing! From the moment “Mom & Dad” walked their beautiful daughter down the aisle through the exchange of rings and kisses, the day could not have been more perfect!
Moments following the wedding, we were able to capture our lovely bride and groom by the lake with an amazing sunset, as if on cue!
The reception made for a wonderful evening with DJ Cindy Kay at the helm! The guests were in awe of the first dance and parent dances. Flowers and garters were thrown as dancing overtook the night.
The cake cutting was one of my favorites as our “sweet” couple totally smashed cake into each others faces! 🙂
The send off was one of the best I’ve witnessed as sky lanterns were released as the new Mr. and Mrs. made their way to the “get away Harley”!
With all of the festivities, the amazing venue, who also provided the catering and the cake, and Winona’s, who provided the flowers, the true love these two have for one another out-shined it all. After all, that’s what we were all there for! We love you Chantele and Ryan!
Gettem’ while their hot!
