The Laboratory Mill – Styled Shoot
I simply cannot get enough of this beautiful, fairytopia themed shoot, styled by Angela Bollinger with At The Heels Weddings and Events, that I was recently fortunate enough to get to photograph. The venue, The Laboratory Mill in Lincolnton, NC, was the stunning backdrop for this highly stylized and imaginative reception set-up. The breathtaking floral arrangements, provided by P.A. Reavis Designs – Floral & Event, could not have looked any better. Amy at The Wow Factor Cakes out did herself on the cake designed specifically for this shoot. The hand made flowers on this cake were so beautiful! Their work always gets a wow from me, but this one.. WOW! The wonderful stationary was “brought to the table” 🙂 by Pasha with Bridal Flavors. These guys make the most beautiful menus and their service is lightning fast! Creative Solutions and Tamara Hundley provided the wonderfully colorful linens. Hannah, our “bride” is one amazing model! She poses so nicely and was such a pleasure to work with. Bedazzled Bridal and Formal provided her amazing dress. Chris, our “groom”, who has worked with me on other projects, is so easy going and gets into the part so naturally. Last, but certainly not least, Nina, my 8-y/o, helped carry things, kept everyone supplied with spring water and provided behind the scenes video. She did a great job and worked very hard all day! I love that kid!
You guys all made my job way too easy! All I did with set up the lights and released the shutter… This team of professionals, all of whom brought their A-game, made this shoot an absolute blast to be a part of! I thank you and love you all!
It meant especially a lot to me to get to apply my craft where so many of my ancestors and family members worked, beginning with the initial construction in the early 1800’s, up through the 1950’s when this was a cotton mill.
